Blackcurrant

The currant bush is one of the oldest medicinal plants in traditional European medicine and was already cultivated in monastery gardens in the Middle Ages.

Taste. Black currants have a sour and characteristic taste.

Effect. Blackcurrants are among the fruits richest in vitamin C. Thus, they strengthen the immune system. Because of its astrigant, diaphoretic, digestive and diuretic effect, black currant is used for respiratory diseases, diarrhea, but also for the first signs of cough, hoarseness and cold.
