Arnica

Arnica was named Medicinal Plant of the Year in 2001 and is considered to be very well studied scientifically.

Taste. The taste of arnica can be described as slightly bitter and pungent.

Effect. Medicinally, only arnica flowers are used. These contain many ingredients of curative interest, such as essential oils, bitter substances, flavonoids and coumarins. These ingredients and their synergistic effects have anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, analgesic, circulatory, antibacterial and antifungal effects.
