Mugwort

Mugwort is a versatile herb that is used as both a spice and a medicinal herb. Many may know the herb as an ingredient of Christmas goose.

Taste. Mugwort has a bitter, aromatic and spicy taste, reminiscent of the taste of wormwood.

Effect. Mugwort has antibacterial, antifungal, sedative, circulatory, digestive and labor-promoting effects. Many of these effects can be explained by the numerous bitter and tannic substances as well as the composition of the essential oil (including camphor, thujone, linalool). Its diverse ingredients make especially fatty foods more digestible.
