Savory

Savory is a classic in the spice cabinet. Used the plant both fresh and dried.

Taste. The taste of savory is strong and tart with a slightly spicy note. Remotely comparable to a mixture of rosemary and thyme. Responsible for the rather intense flavor are the essential oils contained, especially thymol and carvacrol.

Effect. Already in the Middle Ages savory was a well-known medicinal herb, which was used mainly as a support to dishes or generally for digestive problems. In addition, savory has antibacterial properties.
