Oregano

Oregano is most often used in Italian or Mediterranean dishes. Whether on pizza or in tomato sauces - oregano adds a spicy note to a variety of dishes.

Taste. Oregano is an intense aromatic herb, with a slightly bitter and very aromatic taste. Depending on the quality and growing conditions, the leaves can also develop a slightly pungent taste.

Effect. Today oregano is used for problems in the stomach and intestinal tract. The tannins and bitter substances in oregano have a spasmolytic effect, thus helping with stomach and/or intestinal cramps as well as with flatulence and also stimulate the appetite. The essential oils, tannins and bitter substances contained in oregano have an antibacterial, digestive, appetizing, cough-relieving, antifungal and antioxidant effect.
